Last updated: February 26, 2026
1. Introduction
ScopeQ (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the ScopeQ platform, a SOW and quoting automation service for professional services teams. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service.
By creating an account or using ScopeQ you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service.

2. Information We Collect
Account Data
When you register we collect your name, email address, company name, and the password you create (stored as a secure hash — we never see your plaintext password).
Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you interact with ScopeQ: pages visited, features used, timestamps, IP address, browser type, and device identifiers.
Content Data
We store the data you create within ScopeQ: product templates, SOW documents, rate cards, quotes, and uploaded files. This data belongs to you.
Billing Data
Payment card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe. ScopeQ never stores raw card numbers — only a Stripe customer ID and subscription metadata.
Cookies
We use essential session cookies required for authentication. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Service delivery — authenticating you, storing your data, and providing all features.
- Billing — managing your subscription and processing payments via Stripe.
- AI features — your template and SOW content is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate drafts. See our Third-Party Providers page for details.
- Communications — sending transactional emails (verification, password reset, notifications) via Resend.
- Product improvement — analysing aggregate, anonymised usage patterns to improve ScopeQ.
- Legal compliance — complying with applicable law, resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements.
4. Data Sharing & Subprocessors
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the subprocessors required to operate the service. See our Third-Party Providers page for the complete list, which includes Supabase, Anthropic, Stripe, Resend, and Vercel.
We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ScopeQ, our users, or the public.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes.
Audit logs and billing records may be retained for up to seven years to meet tax and financial reporting obligations.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the following rights:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — request that we correct inaccurate data.
- Deletion — request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
- Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection / Restriction — object to or restrict certain processing activities.
- Opt-out of sale — California residents: we do not sell personal data, so no opt-out is necessary.
To exercise any right, email legal@scopeq.io. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies & Tracking
ScopeQ uses only essential cookies necessary for the application to function (session tokens, CSRF protection). We do not use analytics cookies, advertising pixels, or behavioural tracking tools.
8. Children’s Privacy
ScopeQ is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have done so, we will delete that information promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a prominent notice within the application at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of ScopeQ after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
